China to burn ivory stockpile

According to an official release from China’s State Forestry Administration, China is about to burn some of its ivory stockpile.

The destruction will be in Guangzhou on the 6th of January 2014, and UNEP Goodwill Ambassador Li Bingbing will be promoting the event via social media.
