Dear Friends and Supporters,
Today we officially changed our name and we hope it will get your approval and blessing.
We are still EAL but we moved from Advocacy to Action. Enough with words and kind manners.
We are now the Elephant Action League, and we’ll try to be even more concrete in our fight against elephant exploitation and wildlife crime.
The two projects that we’ve just launched in collaboration with other organizations, anti-trafficking in Central Africa and anti-poaching in Tanzania, are just two examples. In both cases we support concrete and sometimes dangerous activities in the field, aimed at catching and getting rid of poachers and traffickers, as simple as that.
And not only elephants benefit from these activities, also chimps, gorillas and leopards in Central Africa or lions in Tanzania.
Not to mention the people who risk their lives every day trying to protect wildlife. Many of them die or get injured.
In our communication activities we’ll try to be even more outspoken and we’ll not be afraid to confront the mighty China, which is the culprit n.1 for elephant poaching and the ivory trade.
We’ll get the courage and the energy from your support!
As an organization that is not even 1 year old, EAL is showing a new concrete and collaborative way to operate in the world of conservation.
Keep following us. We are just at the beginning of our story, and you are part of it.
Best wishes,
Andrea Crosta
