Zambia: diplomats and the army smuggling ivory to China

In Zambia we have diplomats & an Army commander’s entourage smuggling ivory to China.
And lots of sweeping under the carpet.
What a surprise…

The first suspects were intercepted at the International Airport in Lusaka a fortnight ago and they pleaded diplomatic immunity when they were probed.

And last week Zambia security officials discovered elephant tusks in two suitcases of the Army Commander’s entourage to China.
General Paul Mihova and his entourage was allowed to proceed to China but the ivory contraband was given to an Army Commander by the Chinese Military Attache to Zambia so that he delivers the items to an unknown recipient in China.

A stronger fist and lots of cleaning is urgently needed in these countries (not only in Zambia).
